Do you think spending more on oral hygiene is justifiable?
It seems that everyone is now improving their self image and presentation and that includes oral hygiene.
To keep up, I now spend more on a good toothbrush, changing my toothbrush more often, using mouthwash and buying gums and mints. This is to keep the mouth clean and hopefully spend less at the dentist. Also, I wish to avoid bad breath.
Am I alone or do you find that you are doing this as well?
It is not a matter of spending more money. It is a matter of doing the right things. You are currently buying things that will cover up your bad breath rather than doing things that will get rid or cure your bad breath. The major cause of bad breath is the top of the tongue, especially the back one-third of the tongue where bacteria live and produce those bad smells. Mints, etc do not cure bad breath because they do not get rid of the bacteria,the cause of bad breath. I learned all of this about 6 months ago when I learned about OraBrush tongue cleaner. I now clean my tongue when I brush my teeth and have fresh breath up to 12 hours. I still use the same OraBrush I got 6 months ago.
