Why does the Sonicare toothbrush use a C as the musical tone it plays?
The Sonicare toothbrush plays a tone while you brush your teeth. Turns out, that tone is a C, the first note of the C major scale, commonly taught to beginning music students.
Is there a scientific reason that the C is the tone that plays or did they just pick it for its musical ubiquity?
Im assuming its because that tone is probably the most effective way to cause vibrations, therefore causing the plaque to be easily removed.
But thats a wild guess
